This savory dish is very popular in the Philippines, there are so many versions of this dish and this is one of our favorites. You may prepare it spicy, which is very popular in Bicol Region or toned down.

Ingredients:
  • Shrimps
  • Veggies (1 medium size Eggplant, 5-10 Okra, cup of squash, 5 string beans, 1 sweet potato, 1 small bitter gourd)
  • 1 1/2 cup coconut cream (kakang gata)
  • garlic, onions, ginger, green pepper
  • fish sauce to taste
  • seasoning granules
  • 1/2 cup water
Procedure:
  1. Saute garlic and onions in a hot pan.
  2. Add ginger and continue sauteing.
  3. Add green long chili pepper.
  4. Add 1 1/2 cup of water.
  5. Add fish sauce to taste.
  6. When boiling, add the vegetables and cook for 7 to 10 minutes.
  7. Add shrimp.
  8. Add 1 1/2 cup coconut cream.
  9. Add seasoning granules.
  10. Cover and cook for 4 to 5 minutes.
  11. Serve hot.
