How to Cook Lumpiang Shanghai | Filipino Spring Roll | Pang Negosyo Recipe

Lumpiang Shanghai is another Filipino dish which is very popular across the nation. This is also called as Filipino Sring Roll. This is regarded as the most basic lumpia in the Philippines. The traditional Lumpiang Shanghai is usually prepared with ground pork. Other versions also used ground pork, chicken or fish such as bidbid or bangus (milkfish). Other ingredients in lumpiang shanghai includes, chopped carrots, onions, and garlic are the basic, other includes green onions, bell pepper, among other.

In this recipe we will demonstrate how to cook lumpiang shanghai or the Filipino spring roll.

Ingredients:
  • 2 onions
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 tsp ground pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • celery chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • lumpia wrapper
  • 2 cups cooking oil
  • 600 grams ground pork
  • seasoning granules
  • salt to taste
Procedure:
  1. Prepare all the materials and ingredients needed.
  2. Mince onions, garlic, carrot, and celery.
  3. In a bowl, transfer 600 grams ground pork.
  4. Add all the chopped ingredients.
  5. Add 1 stp groud pepper
  6. Add 1 tsp sesame oil, seasoning granules and salt to taste.
  7. Mix the ingredients.
  8. Wrap the mixed ingredients with lumpia wrapper as shown in the video.
  9. Put cooking oil in a pan.
  10. Fry the lumpia until golden brown.
  11. Serve immediately.
  12. Best serve with your favorite sawsawan such as ketchup, or vinegar with minced garlic and ground pepper.
